Zika virus infection is caused by a mosquito borne flavivirus. The suspected links of Zika virus (ZIKV) with neurological disorders, as well as neonatal malformations, is a major global health concern. In February 2016, the WHO was compelled to declare ZIKV Infection as an International Public Health Emergency. This is the second article of this series focuses on Zika prevention, treatment, prognosis, diagnosis, complications and control of ZIKV infection.
